Q: What areas do you service?
A: We currently service Evansville, Newburgh, Chandler, and Boonville areas.
Q: How far away will you travel for clients?
A: We generally stay within a 30 mile radius of Evansville. But we have traveled farther away because the client couldn't find anyone to do the work and they were willing to pay extra for the travel.
Q: What are you licensed to do?
A: We are a licensed residential general contractor. Our license number is RSC-1240.
Q: Do you give free estimates?
A: We do give free estimates to customers who already have a budget. We are not in the free estimate business, so we only give estimates to those who are serious about having work done.
Q: Do you carry insurance?
A: Yes! We are insured and bonded as required by our license.
Q: Do you purchase the materials for jobs or do I have to?
A: We can do it either way. Some customers like to go ahead and purchase the materials ahead of time. Or we can buy what we need and bill you for it.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: On most jobs, we do not require a deposit. But we do require a deposit on any special order item we buy, and on jobs over $1,000. Of course, we do reserve the right to require a deposit on a case by case basis.
Q: Are there any jobs too small?
A: Not really! But some jobs may not be worth the expense of our minimum charge of $150. We recommend putting together a list of things you want fixed. Tell us your budget and then we can get many if not all of them done for you with the maximum return on your investment.
Q: Do you have any tips to help plan for my project?
A: Yes,create a list of all the features you and your spouse want to have. Then break those into 2 categories. Must have and would like to have. This helps with budgeting because you will find out whats important to you. Search on sites like houzz and pinterest to get an idea of colors, shapes, designs, etc. Add them to a workbook or board so that when we meet with you to discuss your project, we will have a really good understanding of what you are wanting done. The more specific, the better.
Q: Are you a franchise?
A: No we aren't. We designed our brand so that if we wanted to franchise our business, we would be able to.
Q: Do you do painting or staining?
A: No. It's one of the few things we don't do. We can recommend you to some excellent painters if you like.
Q: How much do you charge to clean gutters?
A: We charge by the hour to clean gutters. We have found that this is the fairest way for both us and the customer.
Q: Can you build custom furniture?
A: We could build custom furniture but we don't have a full woodshop setup to build furniture. We can however build built in book shelves and benches.
Q: How do you know when it's time to replace your windows?
A:This is a great question that doesn't have a one size fits all answer. The easiest way to know is if your windows are no longer air tight. A easy way to tell is to light a match and hold it close to the window and see if it goes out or if the flame pulls toward the window. Another sign is if you have any kind of rot on the sash or frames.
Q: Do you do room additions?
A: No we don't. We don't do any structural kind of work with the exception of decks. Even though our license allows us to, we don't specialize in it.
Q: Can you design and construct a deck around a pool?
A: Why yes we can! It is a little harder and therefore more expensive to build around pools. But we can and have built around pools.
